Skill-based team structure:
The Middle School program will include two teams, structured based on skill level. This approach will enable the Granville Lacrosse Program to advance players’ skills and teams’ competitiveness at an optimal pace. It will afford the best-matched game scenarios versus opposing teams and will provide for a competitive feeder group coming out of eighth grade and into the Granville High School program. Once registration is complete, conditioning and skill proficiency guidelines will be communicated to players and parents for the Advanced (A-skilled) and Developmental (B-skilled) teams. In the first month of the season, structured player evaluations will be administered by the coaching staff based on guidelines established by the Girls Lacrosse Planning Committee.
Depending upon registration numbers, players may have the opportunity to advance from the B team to the A team within the season. Eligibility will be determined by coaching staff and Team Director on a player-by-player basis.
