International Walk to School Day

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2008 Elementary School children and their parents are invited to gather at Opera House Park in downtown Granville at 8:15 am for a healthy snack and games. The group will start walking to school about 8:30 am. The 2007 International Walk to School Day drew more than 3 million participants worldwide. The event was a big success in Granville last year as well, attracting 150 walkers! This event is designed to encourage fitness, togetherness, and a feeling of small-town community. It will be held rain or shine.
