  • Adult Driver's Education | Classroom/In-Car

    OPEN TO RESIDENTS & NON-RESIDENTS

    FOCUS:
    To provide adults the opportunity to receive the drivers ed training that they did not take as teens before their first attempt at the road test to obtain a State of Ohio Drivers License.

    BENEFITS:
    For adults 18+ who have not had driver’s education within the last 12 months and have not yet attempted to pass the road test to obtain a State Of Ohio Drivers License. This model provides individuals a better understanding of laws, road rules, and all aspects of driving.

    AGE REQUIREMENTS:
    Anyone 18 years and older including college students or U.S. Citizens who have moved from another country. PLEASE NOTE:

    CLASSES OFFERED:
    24 Hour Instruction Over 6 Sundays

    FORMAT:
    Course includes:
    • 24 hrs of Classroom Instruction
    • 8 hrs of Behind-The-Wheel Instruction* (four 2 hr drives)

    *Students will practice their driving skills one-on-one with the GRD Drive Instructor.

  • Teen Driver's Education | In-Car Only

    OPEN TO RESIDENTS & NON-RESIDENTS

    FOCUS:
    To provide teens the opportunity to receive the drivers ed training required by the State of Ohio to obtain a State Of Ohio Drivers License.

    STATE OF OHIO REQUIREMENT:
    The State of Ohio requirement for teen driver's education includes completing 24 hours of online classroom plus the completion of 8 hours of in-vehicle training. STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE Driver's Ed (Behind-The-Wheel instruction) within 6 months of starting, otherwise student must pay again and start instruction over.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Teens may schedule their in-car training with us once the student has completed all 24 hours of online classroom instruction and have their Certificate of Completion from the online provider.

    FORMAT:
    Course includes:
    • 8 hrs of Behind-The-Wheel Training (four 2 hr drives)

    Students will practice their driving skills one-on-one with the GRD Drive Instructor.

  • Teen Driver's Education | Extra Drives

    OPEN TO RESIDENTS & NON-RESIDENTS

    FOCUS:
    To provide teens the opportunity to receive extra instruction with your GRD Instructor. They will provide further help with any driving skill including maneurverability.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Students must have already completed the State of Ohio Requirement of the 8 hrs Behind-The-Wheel Instruction.

    FORMAT:
    • Session options (1hr or 2 hr increments)*

    *Extra Drive Sessions are at an additional cost. Students will practice their driving skills one-on-one with the GRD Drive Instructor.

  • Borrow Driver’s Ed Cones free of charge!

    All students who have enrolled in one of our Driver’s Education programs can use one of our set of driver’s cones and poles to practice maneuverability. We understand how important your teen wants to feel when taking the Maneuverability Test during his Road Test at the BMV. Yhat is why we provide the convince of checking out cones allowing your teen to practice the course in their own vehicle.

  • Teens who are enrolled in “Teen Driver Education | Classroom/In-Car” will receive certificate upon completion of in-cars.

    Those enrolled in “Teen Driver Education | In-Car Only” must provide the GRD Drive Academy their Online Certificates before scheduling In-Cars. Upon completion of In-Cars teens will receive their final certificate from the GRD.

  • The Road Test for licensure may not be taken until teen has had their permit for 6 months and they have completed the Ohio Graduated Drivers Licensing Program. Teens can schedule test through the Ohio BMV website 6 weeks before the desired testing date.
