Driver Education Instructors

POSITION SUMMARY: Over the past four years, the Granville Recreation District (GRD) Drive Academy has made a positive impact in Granville and the surrounding communities by helping teens and young adults develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become safe drivers. The Drive Academy was created to provide a driver’s education program that is reliable, convenient, and led by instructors who genuinely care about preparing students to be capable, responsible drivers.

The GRD is currently seeking part-time Behind-the-Wheel and Classroom Instructors to join our team.

Teaching driver’s education is both fun and rewarding. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community by helping young drivers build the skills they need to drive safely and responsibly.

Previous experience in teaching, coaching, bus driver, or law enforcement is helpful but not required. This position is ideal for retirees or individuals with seasonal jobs or those seeking flexible schedules.

Paid training is provided. Once licensed, instructors earn a starting wage of $25 per hour.

Granville Blue Waves Assistant Coaches

POSITION SUMMARY: The Granville Recreation District (GRD) and Granville Blue Waves Swim Team is searching for qualified candidates to fill role of “Assistant Coaches” for the summer swim program. Successful candidates should be energetic, create an atmosphere of engagement and excitement and be supportive of all athletes in the program.

Summer Camp Counselors

TYPE: Part-Time/ Seasonal
REPORTS TO: Day Camp Coordinator/Program Director
JOB DUTIES: Camp Counselors work at a variety of camps Granville Recreation District Camps throughout the Granville Area (including Infirmary Mound, Spring Valley Nature Preserve, Wildwood Park, and the Granville School District Buildings).  Camp counselors should be prepared to supervise, engage, and oversee campers of all ages.  Camper safety is of utmost importance and camp counselors should always be vigilant.  Typical camp counselor duties include helping with set up and tear down, assisting with camper check in and check out procedures, assisting with various games, crafts, and more.  Counselors should feel comfortable leading small groups (5-10 kids) in various activities.
