A coach can have a monumental impact on a child just learning to play organized sports. We have a variety of different sports in need of volunteer coaches, including: including: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, softball, soccer, and wrestling.
Ballpark League: Baseball & Softball
Now Registering! Registration Deadline: February 24, 2012 (Coach Pitch – Babe Ruth & 8U – 14U Softball)
Registration Deadline Extended: March 23, 2012 (T-Ball only, ages 4-6)
Our baseball program is composed of the following divisions: Babe Ruth (13 and 14); Majors (12 and under); Minors (10 and under); Coach Pitch (8 and under); and T-ball (6 and under). Our Little League is composed of the Minor and Major divisions. Our Coach Pitch and older divisions play teams from Granville and other Licking County communities. The T-ball division only plays other Granville teams.
Our Softball program is composed of the following divisions: 14 and under; 12 and under; 10 and under; and 8 and under. The girls will play on Granville teams that participate in the Central Ohio Girls Fast Pitch Softball league that is composed of teams from in around Licking County. Practices and games could be various days of the week.

Basketball
Our basketball program is for boys and girls grades K through 8. Our recreational divisions are as follows: grades K & 1 will be Co-ed , all other grades will be gender specific. In addition, we have travel teams for boys and girls at each grade from 4th through 6th for those interested in a more competitive level of play.

Interested in officiating? The games for the GRD Youth Basketball Program will begin soon. We would like to have your help with the program by serving as referees and scorekeepers. Games are held on Saturday or Sunday afternoons at the Intermediate School and the Granville Elementary School. We will pay our referees $15.00 per game and the scorekeepers $10.00 per game. To ensure the best experience for all parties involved high schools students will be paired with certified officials. There is a mandatory referee clinic scheduled Wednesday, November 16, from 6-8PM, at the Bryn Du Field House. Please click here for more details.
Cheerleading
Our Cheerleading program is for girls entering 3rd through 6th grades in the fall. Girls entering the 3rd and 4th grades will be cheering for the Granville flag football teams. Girls entering the 5th grade will have the option of cheering for Granville flag or tackle teams. Girls entering the 6th grade will be cheering for the Granville tackle football teams

Football
Our Football program is for boys and girls entering the 3rd through 6th grades in the fall. Boys entering the 3rd and 4th grades will play for the Granville flag football teams. Boys entering the 5th grade will have the option of playing for Granville flag or tackle teams. Boys entering the 6th grade will be playing for the Granville tackle football teams. Flag football teams will compete against other Granville teams and the tackle teams will play in the Licking County Youth Football league.

Lacrosse
Our lacrosse program is for Granville School District residents entering Kindergarten through eighth grade in the fall of 2012. Boys and girls entering K-2 grade will focus on learning basic ball and stick handling and the fundamental objectives of lacrosse. Light scrimmage opportunities will allow players to bring the learnings to life. From grade 3 on, the GRD lacrosse program will be gender specific.
LAX Spirit Wear: Follow this link for the 3rd and final LAX Spirit Wear order. This final order has limited items as compared to the previous two orders. LAX Spirit Wear order dates are Wednesday, 2/22 thru Friday, 3/16. Estimated delivery is Friday, 3/30. Order forms will also be available at the GRD office. Soccer
Now Registering! Registration Deadline: February 24, 2012
Our Soccer program is for boys and girls 4 years old by April 30th through the 6th grade and all divisions are coed. The divisions are as follows: Pre-School; Kindergarten; 1st grade; 2nd grade; 3rd and 4th grade; and 5th and 6th grade. The 2nd grade and younger divisions practice and play all games at Wildwood Park. The 3rd and 4th grade and the 5th and 6th grade divisions practice in Granville and play games in Granville and local communities. GRD offers spring and fall soccer programs.

Wrestling
Our Wrestling program is for boys in 1st through 6th grades. The focus of the program is to promote the sport of wrestling to Granville youth by having fun while working hard to learn the fundamentals skills of wrestling. Competitions with other Licking County youth programs will be available for interested individuals starting in January.
